San Antonio

San Antonio , site of the Alamo and a popular tourist destination is the second largest city in the state of Texas. Located in the county of Bexar, San Antonio is home to the Spurs (NBA) and with its blend of cultures and Spanish flair is one of the most colorful and picturesque cities in USA.

Alamo - "The symbol of Texas freedom" is located at 300 Alamo Plaza in downtown San Antonio, Texas. Alamo is the site of the battle of Alamo where 189 defenders fell on March 6, 1836, after repeated attacks by Mexican General Santa Anna's army, originally named "Mission San Antonio de Valero" a former mission and fortress compound is now a museum.

San Antonio River Walk -First called Yanaguana by the Payaya Indians, meaning "place of refreshing waters. Also known as the Paseo del Rio, the river walk is one level down below the automobile street and with it's 3 mile long cobblestone walkways bends around the peaceful San Antonio river leading visitors to pass by river-level galleries, restaurants and shops.         Tower of Americas - Enjoy the most breath taking and birds eye view of the city of Alamo from 750 feet tall Tower of the Americas . As you streak to the top, a glass sided elevator provides a panoramic view. The tower was constructed for the World HemisFair in 1968. Visitors can enjoy a scenic view from the observation deck or dine at the revolving restaurant.
